At the e-Learning Centres, we are dedicated to transforming the educational landscape in village high schools, in Bangladesh. Our mission is to design and deliver innovative e-Learning solutions that promote lateral learning to village high school students in classes 6-10. The "Salute to Baba" e-Lerning Center is made possible by funding from the family of a father who studied at that school and later on life was a successful professional. This is a way to give back to society and empowering the next generation.
We believe that the standard curriculum at the village high schools are inadequate for students in this fast paced world. Therefore, Lateral Learning provides an opportunity to leapfrog the learning curve to get specific education in areas of interest. We use Khan Academy in English and Bangla as the basic foundation of the educational software and then augment it with others, including, an in-house "Introduction to 4IR" course as an option, and a remedial course for rising class 6 students as an option too.
